Workshop Overview

During this practical workshop complex sciences will be demystified as participants learn about simple, easy to apply solutions that improve profit, reduce inputs and build soil fertility.

Trust Nature’s Bio-vital system extracts microorganisms out of high quality “inoculum” compost and bio-fertiliser into solution in a powerful aerator brewer, a virtual spa tub for microorganisms which grows hundreds of thousands of organisms into thousands of millions in 24 hours.

This resultant “tea”, charged with microorganisms in high diversity, when sprayed on pasture aids nutrient cycling, builds soil fertility, and reduces production costs. Amazing results are being delivered through cropping and animal raising ventures in a broad range of environments around Australia and the world.

This Bio-vital system is far less expensive than typical inputs, produces higher production outcomes and is sustainable in that soil fertility is maintained whilst production improved.

Who Will Benefit From This Workshop

Whether you’re a farmer or want to be, your clients are farmers, you have a general interest in sustainability or you’re just curious about improving management of your land and our environment, what you will learn will inform and inspire you.

Workshop Outline

The full curriculum of this intensive workshop covers 5 days. While the most benefit will come from attending for the full 5 days, participants can opt to for either Part 1 or Part 2 only.

Part 1 (3 days 31st July – 2nd August)

Over these three days the soil fertility outcomes of different types of farming practises will be examined and discussed.
Participants will learn about the benefits of Natural Systems, organics and biological farming both as a stand-alone system and to reduce the cost of present management systems.

Much more than just a talk fest we will also build an “inoculum” compost pile and brew a batch of soil pro-biotic.

Part 2 (2 days 3rd & 4th August)

Over two days of indoor and outdoor sessions participants will learn about the connection between plant health, pests and diseases and a balanced soil fertility. We will also discuss the outcomes of applying various types of fertilizers and other inputs, plus the SoilFoodWeb and Nutrient Cycling.

These last two days will incorporate hands on aspects during sessions that include making barrels of bio-fertilizer. We will also take the soil pro-biotic brewed in the first 3 days of the workshop, combine it with some matured bio-fertiliser and spray it onto the pastures in our model sites.

Your Teacher, Paul Taylor, is an energetic, easy to understand speaker with 30 years of hands on experience, promoting the practical understanding of beneficial soil microbes as the basis of a productive management system, bringing non-productive soils back to life and turning them to profitability.

He is the Managing Director of Trustnature; a Permaculture teacher; sustainable design consultant; soil biology management specialist and former Soil Foodweb Institute Advisor.

Paul has worked extensively as a consultant and educator in Australia, India, the Middle East, U.S.A., New Zealand, Asia and Outer Mongolia. This includes for the Australian Federal Government’s Farm Ready Incentive.

He is currently working as co-founder of the Hidden Garden Sustainable Farms Project supported by the Australian Federal Government and Christmas Island Community to grow food organically for asylum seekers and this remote island community.
