The Illawarra Birders and Kiama Council are running a birds in backyards information workshop and guided walk of the Spring Creek Wetlands for residents of the Kiama LGA. Members of the Illawarra Birders will be passing on valuable knowledge and experience to interested participants, culminating in a bird watching walk through the Spring Creek Wetlands, a place known for its varied and important bird life in the Kiama Municipality.
The workshop will be held on Saturday 22nd February 2014, starting at 9am with an introductory session at the Kiama Girl Guides Cottage in Hindmarsh Park. Following the information session participants will be able to participate in a guided bird watching walk of the Spring Creek Wetlands which is expected to finish around 11:30am-12noon.
