Fish and Wetlands Workshop

Where: CVA Wollongong (5/54 Montague St, Fairy Meadow)

When: Thursday, September 18. 6.30pm – 8.30pm, Light supper provided

The South Coast Wetland Carers have invited Scott Nichols from Fisheries NSW to discuss the relationship between wetlands and fish habitat. Scott’s presentation will cover the impacts of urbanisation and industry, popular recreational fish species, connectivity in the marine environment and the importance of wetland related projects.  Following this, Fish Thinkers will present about their recent findings from their marine science studies.  Their research has recently been employing techniques such as GPS tracking and baited video analysis to monitor fish behaviour.  A great workshop for those interested in recreation fishing or conservation, or both!
