The Illawarra Grammar School
Students from The Illawarra Grammar School have been Streamwatching since 1995. They have accumulated an extensive set of data in that time. The program at TIGS now includes both high school and primary school students. The students test a range of sites including:
- American Creek
- Byarong Creek
- Mullet Creek
- Robins Creek
Streamwatch teacher from TIGS, Kerry Goonan, won the 2005 Outstanding Streamwatch Educator. The group links their water testing with various other environmental projects including bush regeneration and recycling through the environmental sub-group of the Student Representative Council and their senior geography projects.
