Tullimbah Landcare Inc

Elizabeth Brownlee Reserve

Site Description

Tullimbah Landcare formed in 1999 in order to save Digby Creek from possible development.  Since that time, Tullimbah Landcare Inc have been working to rehabilitate the Elizabeth Brownlee Reserve. The reserve is a 2.5 hectare urban remnant of Illawarra Dry Subtropical Rain Forest. The reserve is a gazetted Threatened Ecological Community that includes two Threatened Species - Zierra granulata and Omalathus stillingifolius.

Tullimbah Landcare are working to rehabilitate the area, primarily through the removal of weeds thereby allowing natural regeneration from the seed bank in the soil. The Tullimbah Landcare group is made up of a friendly bunch of people and welcome any new members. Tullimbah Landcare has members of all ages and interests. If you are looking to meet new people, and to make some new friends, while helping to protect this remnant rainforest then please come along to one of the working bees.

Meeting Times

There are two working bees held every month at the end of Digby Close, Albion Park on the 2nd Monday and the 4th Saturday. These working bees are held under the supervision of a bush regenerator.

Coordinator
