Place Story Training
PlaceStories is a digital storytelling, networking and communications system designed to meet the communication and reporting needs of community projects, networks, organisations and others who work with communities, particularly in rural and regional areas. PlaceStories is a software system for managing digital media, creating digital stories and publishing online through Google Maps.
When: Thursday 17 & Friday 18 December 2009 (2 day workshop)
Where: Queanbeyan (venue to be advised)
(A workshop may also be held in Cooma, subject to numbers)
Time: Day 1: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Day 2: 9:00am – 3:30pm
Cost: No cost will be incurred by participants
What to bring: Story ideas, facts and figures Approximately 25 – 30 images of a project you are working on to make a digital story
What is provided:
- Tuition from Quality Endorsed Training Provider (NSW TAFE)
- Laptops will be provided for the duration of the training
- USB drive containing the PlaceStories Software
- Additional music and image files
Yours to keep after the training:
- USB drive
- Headset
- Transcript of Academic Record
