Australian native bees of the Illawarra

Discover the fascinating world of native bees with native bee enthusiast Megan Halcroft. Find out why native bees are so important to our environment and can improve your garden harvests, how to identify native bees in your garden, what you can do to encourage native bees to your garden and much more. See a buzzing active hive of stingless Tetragonula carbonaria bees and other examples of native bee hives and bee ‘hotels.’

This activity is designed for adults but children aged over 10 years are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Priority will be given to Shellharbour City Council area residents.
